The beginning of my "farm".

This week I got a weathervane for the garden and I also got my chicken coop. I will begin planting my peas and cabbage and a few other things next week, if the weather is good. Hopefully my baby chicks will be in next week also. I am getting so excited for them!

  1. The new garden bed looks great. And what a nice chicken tractor. Did your husband build it? If so, good work!

Don't wait too long on the peas. you can push them into the wet ground and they'll come up through the snow. I planted mine over two weeks ago and their all popping up now, snow or not.
    Good luck!

  2. We bought the coop from a man in Smithfield.
I got my peas in two days ago. I had some seedlings that I had started and the rest of them I just planted by seed. They seem to be doing well. Thanks for your comments and I continue to follow your blog.
